My take on Cypher System: it’s a medium weight system that is superb at games of attrition, like dungeon delving. The system’s character options and tension are strengths, but it forces players to stick to a role and the meta-currency creates an unwieldy experience.

My take on Symbaroum: it’s a dark fantasy game filled with unique world-building and distinctive character options. The system’s lightweight mechanics and abstract movement are strengths, but it lacks out-of-combat abilities and guidance for social encounters. GMs & Players need to embrace the setting and be prepared for challenging encounters.
